Changing the Role of a User

An app user and a web user can be switched between different roles.

Scenario 1: Change a member to a leader or vice versa

Before changing the role, verify with the Team or Church/Group representatives and check the availability to avoid confusion.

1.       Go to App Administration/User Management.

2.       Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.

               

3.       Select the Role from the drop-down.

Notes: The role can be switched within the teams of the Church/Group, and also the individual can be moved to a different Church/Group. In such circumstances, both the Church leadership must be informed before the change is made.

4.       Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.

5.       Select Save and confirm and the user status becomes invited.

6.       Then it triggers an invitation with an activation code to that user.

7.       The user can login to their new role with the activation code.

8.       If the team already has an active or invited leader or enough members, then it throws an error message.                                                       

Scenario 2: Change a Facilitator to Mentor or vice versa

Before changing the role, verify with the Church/Group representatives to avoid confusion.

1.       Go to App Administration/User Management.

2.       Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.

3.       Select the Role from the drop-down.

Note: The role can be switched within the Church/Group, and also the individual can be moved to a different Church/Group. In such circumstances, both the Church leadership must be informed before the change is made.

4.       Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.

5.       Select Save and confirm it. An invitation email with an activation code is triggered to that user.

6.       The user can log in to their new role with the activation code.

Scenario 3: Change a Facilitator/Mentor/CAN executive to an app user

Before changing the role, verify with the Team or Church/Group representatives to avoid confusion.

1.       Go to App Administration/User Management.

2.       Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.

3.       Select the Role from the drop-down.

4.       Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.

Notes: The role can be switched within the same Church/Group, and also the individual can be moved to a different Church/Group. In such circumstances, both the Church leadership must be informed before the change is made.

5.       Select Save and confirm it. An invitation email with an activation code is triggered to that user.

6.       The user can log in to their new role with the activation code

Scenario 4: Promote a CAN executive to any higher-level roles

(Only applicable for the executives above City-level)

Before changing the role, verify with the higher-level executives to avoid confusion.

1.       Go to App Administration/User Management.

2.       Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.

3.       Select the Role from the drop-down.

Notes: The individual can be moved to a different location (City/State/Country).

4.       Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.

5.       Select Save and confirm it. An invitation email with an activation code is triggered to the user.

6.       The user can log in to their new role with the activation code.
