Changing the Role of a User
An app user and a web user can be changed from one role to the other.
Scenario 1: Change a member to a leader or vice versa
Before changing the role, verify with the Team and check the availability to avoid confusion.
Go to App Administration/User Management.
Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.
Select the Role from the drop-down.
Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.
Notes: The role can be switched within the teams of the Church/Group. In such circumstances, the team must be informed before the change is made.
Select the team.
Select Save and confirm, and the user status becomes invited.
Then it triggers an invitation with an activation code to that user.
The user can login to their new role with the activation code.
If the team already has an active or invited leader or enough members, then it throws an error message.
Scenario 2: Change a Team Lead/Member to Mentor
Before changing the role, verify with the Team and check the availability to avoid confusion.
Go to App Administration/User Management.
Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.
Select the Role from the drop-down.
Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.
Select Save and confirm it. An invitation email with an activation code is triggered to that user.
The user can login to their new role with the activation code.
Scenario 3: Change a Mentor to an app user
Before changing the role, verify with the Team to avoid confusion.
Go to App Administration/User Management.
Select the edit icon at the right end of the user.
Select the Role from the drop-down.
Resend Code/Password is selected automatically.
Select the team from the dropdown.
Select Save and confirm it. An invitation email with an activation code is triggered for that user.
The user can login to the new role with the activation code.
