Witnessing Team (WT)

Witnessing Team (WT) consists of Christians who want their family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who do not believe in God to experience Christ and come to believe in Him. In that pursuit, they come together as a team, supporting one another, holding one another accountable, and praying for one another. They commit to staying connected through the Witnessing Framework app. The ultimate goal is for each WT member to develop a witnessing lifestyle so those around them may experience Christ. The WT consists of 3 to 6 members.

A) Responsibilities of WT

The process of finding and onboarding a WT Leader

1. Create Awareness

Create awareness of the need for witnessing and the possibilities for their loved ones who are unable to accept Jesus Christ as Lord so that they may believe in Him. Use the presentations, videos, and other materials provided in the Witnessing Hub.

2. Invite Leaders

Identify and invite leaders who may form and lead a WT. This process is crucial. These leaders form small teams (WT) and enhance the engagement of the team. They need not be someone who is dominant or the know-it-all type, but someone who is passionate about the lost and willing to work together with a few men and women from their church or organization.

3. Train Leaders

Phase I

1) Declining Christianity

2) Challenges faced by the missions

3) Why Witnessing

4) Assisting the Churches and Organizations

Phase II

1) What is a WT

2) Witnessing Framework & the mobile app

3) Witnessing Hub

4. Leader's Online Access

Give them access to the mobile app, demonstrate to them how the app works, and observe how they do. Give feedback and continue to coach and monitor them.

B) Responsibilities of WT Leader

How the WT Leader forms and starts a WT

1. Invite Members

The WT Leader shares the vision and invites fellow Christians to join the Witnessing Team (WT). The members may be family members, small-group members, or Christian friends. If it is formed within a church or organization, it is best if the WT leader invites members of that group.

2. Provide Online Access

The WT Leader, from the Leader’s dashboard, invites the members who are interested in joining the Witnessing Team. The invited individuals receive an email with instructions for downloading the app and registering.

3. Train Together

It is crucial for the team to train together. The WT leader facilitates, and the team learns together. They may do it online or in person. The following outlines the order.

Phase I

1) Declining Christianity

2) Challenges faced by the missions

3) Why Witnessing

4) Assisting the Churches and Organizations

Phase II

1) Roles and Responsibilities of Witnessing Team (WT)
2) Functions of the Witnessing Framework app

Phase III

3) The team must complete the concepts.

4. Meet Consistently

A good team is critical for consistency. It facilitates mutual learning, encouragement, and accountability.  It is very important that the team meeting centers around the four questions on the Team Meeting page. The team leader may initiate discussions on the concepts or the Daily Thoughts to keep the team motivated.

C) Becoming a Witness

How Witnessing Framework transforms a Christian to become a fruitful witness

WT.jpg
  • It starts with raising awareness of the decline in Christianity and the challenges the mission faces.

  • It rekindles the Christian's desire for their loved ones to believe in Jesus Christ.

  • The framework helps a Christian identify and list those in their family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who are unable to believe in Jesus Christ, and to monitor their relationships with them.

  • It shapes them into people who choose authenticity over perfection or flawlessness.

  • It reminds them every day to pray that they may become a person of influence.

  • It provides a platform for them to join a team or start their own.

  • The team prays for each other and their loved ones.

  • They encourage each other and hold each other accountable

  • The process helps those who are not able to believe in Jesus Christ to trust you, follow you, and eventually come to believe in what you believe.

Note:

Many came to Jesus for different reasons. But Jesus went after a handful of people. It took about three years for Jesus to transform them into followers of Him. This process takes time.
